Until our renovation, the building had never had an HVAC system, as it was heated through the use of steam. The installation of a modern HVAC system into the building was a challenging task, as the building's historical significance prevented any major modifications to the exterior of the building. Most of the equipment was located within the existing penthouse, with only four small units located on the roof. Visibility of these units from the street has been minimized so the building's historical exterior is not compromised.
